This square basket of the Ifugao is used to hold cooked rice during the day hence the the smooth bamboo skin is placed inside at the lower portion of the basket. A one over two weave is employed with gauges ranging from 4-7 mm. Rims are made of split large diameter rattan. Its usual dimension is 36mm x 36mm x 14mm with a 27mm x 27mm base. A perfect centerpiece for today's breakfast or dining tables.
