TAGBANUAS

Tagbanuas are considered as the most widely distributed ethnic group in the Palawan Island. These people can be found living in coastal or near coastal areas of the island - some near the Palawan's river systems.
THE TINGKOP (US$ x.xx)

Product Description:

Crafted by the Tagbanuas of Southern Palawan, the Tingkop is made of manually processed bamboo skin using a one under one close weave which transitions from a square base to a round rim. It is a classic example of the native flair for symmetry and masterful combination of indigenous materials. This basket is used as harvest storage hence the closely fitted and reinforced cover to prevent entry of rodents.
