MANDAYAS
The Mandaya, which means "the first people upstream", is a Philippine
ethnic group living along the mountain ranges of Davao Oriental in
Mindanao. The Mandaya's main economic activity is kaingin or slash and
burn farming.

Product Description:
These breast plates hammered by the Mandayas in Davao are made of
silver. Its external surface has incised design of stylized sun
enclosed in five bands, two in alternating sets of opposite faced
arrowheads, one band without design, one band consisting of two rows of
dots and one band consisting of pairs of semi-triangles in alternating
direction. Its center has diamond shape hole and a small circular hole
beside it.
These plates makes an elegant accent piece on your table and a prized item for your collection.
