PANGASINAN
Pangasinan or Pangasinense which name comes from the word "asin" or
salt refers to the people of Pangasinan located at the gulf of
Lingayen, island of Luzon. Rice is the major crop being farmed by the
Pangasinan. Other crops grown are tobacco, onions, tomatoes, corn, etc.
Pangasinan are skilled craftsmen and is known for bamboo and rattan
artifacts. Pangasinan is also known for its cow-drawn wagons containing
baskets, furniture, mats and other household items made of rattan and
bamboo which travels from the province to various parts of Luzon
particularly in Manila, the countries capital, to sell their wares.
